Favorite thing about coaching tennis: Firstly, Tennis can be an extremely challenging and frustrating game to play and growth often happens very slowly and then very suddenly, so getting to see those giant improvements in my student's game is so very fulfilling. And secondarily (and selfishly) I love how coaching has made me better at the sport I coach.
Fun Facts: I spend my other free time hiking the many great state and regional parks this state has to offer, boating with my family in the summers and skating in the winters, and hanging out with friends playing board games, card games and video games.
Chen, Teaching Staff: Chen is a junior at the University of Minnesota. He's been playing tennis at Minnetonka Tennis Club since he was in middle school and played doubles for the Edina boys varsity team in high school. Chen began youth coaching at the age of 16 through Eden Prairie summer tennis programs and has been coaching at MTC since he was a freshman in college. Some of Chen's favorite memories are hitting and hanging out with his friends from the junior classes. One of his ambitions is to create an environment where other students can do the same!
Other staff may be added depending on enrollment and schedule changes.
